The YouTube Channel Masterjikibaithak is a popular channel with thousands of followers. The channel focuses on different topics that add value to the life of a common man. Let’s learn about some insights from the episode which has received appreciation from people across the globe.

The podcast opens with a discussion about Food Allergies where Dr. Sahil Gupta emphasized that preservatives, processed food and food additives are the main contributors for food allergies. The use of packed food and go-to snacks is more popular in western nations and is the sole reason behind the manifold increase in episodes of allergies in recent times.

The Ayurvedic expert points out at crucial information that Asthma in children can be triggered due to milk intolerances. Lack of awareness about food allergies including milk allergy culminates into chest or respiratory allergies including Asthma. Dr. Gupta discussed about a lesser known process called “Allergy March”, where one allergy can lead to another allergy. A triangular pattern is formed where food allergies either march towards respiratory allergies or towards skin allergies.

As the discussion proceeded, the host got curious to know about the common food allergies in India and abroad. In response Dr. Sahil Gupta said that Peanut Allergies are very common in western countries while in India, most commonly observed allergy is Milk Allergy.

“The most common causes of food allergies are the human beings themselves”, said Dr. Gupta, as the mothers are not willing to breastfeed their child to maintain their figure and as a result, introduce formula-based milk at an early stage. This artificial milk serves as an allergen and may trigger allergies in childhood or later in life. The best approach is to continue breast feeding till at least 6 months which can be extended upto 2 years as per Ayurveda.

As the talk continued, Dr. Gupta urged the parents to give home-based food items to babies as a detail conversation continued about how A1 milk or the milk we get in packets is harmful for us. This milk has some harmful chemicals that negatively impact health and make the body more prone to allergies whereas the A2 milk or the Indian desi cow milk has many health benefits and should be used especially in the case of milk intolerances.

“Constipation, diarrhea, stomach cramps, gas, bloating and small white spots on the skin are some of the common symptoms of milk intolerances in infants”, quoted Dr. Sahil. For the children in the age group 6 months to 2 years, food intolerances may cause Atopic dermatitis or eczema. After 2 years, if the child did not receive proper medical care for food intolerances then, it may proceed to respiratory allergies or asthma.

Dr. Gupta also busted a myth that food allergies will outgrow themselves. Due to hormonal changes and growth, it is true that sometimes childhood allergies may outgrow themselves, but on other occasion these may continue till adulthood.

Alcohol Allergy has some specific symptoms like palpitations, sweating, anxiety, flushing of face, and vomiting immediately after intake and it is basically due to absence of an enzyme that helps in breakdown of alcohol phrased the famous Ayurvedic Allergy Specialist. He also highlighted the fact that alcohol allergy can be triggered due to yeast allergy.

Wheat and Gluten Allergy are common these days and are observed more in people who eat wheat flour that has a higher shelf life or has some preservatives added. He further added that ingredients like cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, ajino moto or the food additives are the main culprit behind food allergies.

Dr. Gupta also discussed about a case study in which the patient’s condition was quite critical as she was suffering from Dyshidrotic Eczema. The patient came to the clinic with painful sores and blisters on palms and soles of the feet. After 1.5 years of Ayurvedic herbal treatment she recovered and today she is leading a healthy and happy life.
